And they devoted themselves to the apostles'
teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done
through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all
things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings
and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day,
attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they
received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and
having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day
by day those who were being saved.
Why Join A Fellowship
Group?
We want to grow smaller as a church. What we
mean is that we do not want anyone to get lost in the crowd. We want to
grow authentic relationships through smaller gatherings. Groups eat
together, pray together, study the Scriptures together, and do life
together.
When we gather as a larger group on Sunday mornings, we have smaller discussion. When we
gather as a smaller group, we have larger discussion. Both are necessary
as we seek to know God and make Him known as a church family.
Fellowship
Groups are scattered throughout our county, located in various
neighborhoods. This is purposeful because we want to be the church in
these neighborhoods. Groups are encouraged to invite their neighbors
into their homes and to think through creative ways to reach out. In
fact, each group is given a budget for the purpose of outreach and
ministry. We want the church to leave the building and spread the light
of the knowledge of the glory of Jesus Christ—together.
