Join the Sanctuary Choir
There are
many opportunities to participate in music at Fellowship Baptist
Church. One of the opportunities to praise the Lord is to be
part of the Sanctuary Choir. The Sanctuary Choir has, at its
very heart, the joy of singing and sharing the gospel message
through song. We welcome all singers who would like to
participate (grade 7 through older adulthood).
The
Sanctuary choir sings in Sunday morning worship services one to two
times each month. We also enjoy singing Cantatas and special
musical selections during Easter and Christmas time. Last
Easter, the selection
was
a cantata entitled, "In Christ Alone", and the Christmas musical and
drama presented last Christmas was entitled, "Hands of Hope".
Other music is shared specifically for holidays or special times in
the life of Fellowship Baptist Church, such as the ordinances of
baptism and the Lord's Supper.
The Choir
exists for the purpose of helping to bring the congregation to a
place of worship through music. As the group practices, we
learn how better to do that through music learning also.
Learning about musical notes, rhythm, and singing technique are part
of the total choir experience as well as time spent together in
fellowship as brothers and sisters in Christ.
The
Sanctuary Choir meets each Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m., following
the evening worship. We invite anyone who is interested in
singing with us to come and try us out. We would welcome
you!!!
The
Sanctuary Choir of Fellowship Baptist Church is directed by Judy
Miller. Judy has had many years of musical training. In
addition to directing the Sanctuary Choir at the church, she teaches
private piano lessons.
