Not Just for Kids
When we hear “Sunday School,” many people might think it is just for children. However, at Fellowship Baptist, our Sunday School has something for all ages. Our time together on Sunday mornings is warm and friendly --- a place where people of the same age groups meet together for fellowship, Bible study, prayer, and ministry.
Yes, at Sunday School children will have fun while receiving knowledge of Jesus and the Bible. They will learn – by loving example, study, games, and crafts – the standard in which Christ wants them to live. What better time in a persons life to learn about God than when they are still a child!
Adults will learn even more! We meet together to further our understanding about God and His Love, and to share our experiences with one another. Let’s face it, in today’s world, there are a lot of distractions and competitions for our time and concerns. There is a song you may know, "I Shall Not be Moved". No, this doesn’t suggest not giving up your seat to visitors! This song tells us that when troubles and trials assail us, that we will not give in to the world and compromise our walk with God; that we will not shame our Savior by turning our backs on Him; and that we will have the strength to resist Satan by knowing, trusting, and calling on God’s strength and love. Each of us must be able to recognize these attacks and temptations, and then be able to stand true to our God.
