Though VBS 2010 has ridden off into the sunset, don't fret...our trip to the Big Apple for VBS 2011 will be here before you know it.  Watch for important information to come in early-January.

Wanted:  Photos of Church Happenings

We are collecting photos from church events over the past couple years to be included in the upcoming directory.

Sunday School socials, youth outings, baseball games, baptisms, family nights, etc…

Please submit to the church office no later than Sept. 15th. Hard copies of photos will be scanned and returned as soon as possible.

Remembering the Past

It’s an Old Fashioned Sunday Picnic Sunday, September 26 at 6:00 p.m.

You won't want to miss the fun and fellowship that comes our monthly Community Night events.

This month, we will be kicking off the new church year with an old-fashioned church lawn picnic complete with old time games and music (is that banjo music I hear?).  Each family is asked to bring their own supper packed in picnic baskets, wrapped in a bandana hanging from a pole, or however else you can tote it along.  Don’t forget a blanket to sit on!   Now, let the fun begin!!!!

As the date approaches, be sure to watch the bulletin for more information.

Community Nights at Fellowship Baptist are a great way to get to know our church family.  They are perfect events for those that may not regularly attend church and are looking for something a bit more relaxed.  Be sure to bring along your friends, families and neighbors.

New Photo Directory

It’s not too late to sign up…keep reading to find out how!

As you know, we’re going to create a new pictorial directory of our church family. The directory will help us connect names with faces. It will be an ideal outreach tool and will capture the history of our church congregation. You do not have to be a church member to be included in the directory.  In fact, this is a great way to get to know the families of Fellowship and for them to get to know you.

Please participate! All we ask is that you have your picture taken by the professional photographer and meet with a portrait consultant at the church. We have been making appointments during the past few weeks.  If you missed the opportunity to sign up at church, you can schedule your appointment online securely and directly at the Olan Mills Scheduler Website (Church Contract #55018) starting on Monday, August 30.  Please sign up as soon as possible to get the best appointment to fit your schedule.

•  Every participating family/household that selects a pose for the directory will receive a free church directory and a complimentary 8x10 portrait.

•  You will only need to come to the church once for photography and for portrait viewing.

•  The program is available at no cost to the church budget.

•  You will have the opportunity to purchase portraits and frames on the same day of photography. All portraits come with a 100% unconditional guarantee. 

•  Whether you decide to dress formally or casually, you will want to make the most of this opportunity.

Please volunteer! We can use help on the photo session days greeting families, verifying family information, collecting Ministry interest forms and simple admin tasks (like copying).  It will take a group effort to make this a reality and I ask for your support by volunteering just a little of your time.  Check out the volunteer time slots on the bulletin board and sign up today.
